EDEN-Medical is an ambitious cross-border collaboration, support by Interreg V-A Euregio Meuse-Rhine, that seeks to improve the transport of medical goods—such as medication, blood samples, or laboratory materials—by using urban air mobility (UAM) powered by drones and supported by a modular, open digital infrastructure.

The EDEN-Medical project aims to enable fast and secure deliveries of critical medical goods, such as medications and laboratory samples, through drone technology. By enhancing real-time data sharing between healthcare teams, the project supports better coordination and faster decision-making. It also contributes to the growth of telemedicine, allowing hospitals to offer cross-border consultations and remote care more effectively.

A key focus lies in identifying and overcoming regulatory and infrastructural obstacles that currently hinder seamless cross-border medical logistics. Ultimately, EDEN-Medical seeks to strengthen the overall resilience of healthcare systems, particularly during crises such as pandemics or natural disasters.
